This policy explains what information Under the Hood with Mathias ("we", "us") collects, why, and the choices you have. The show and this website are run by a parent/guardian (the responsible adult), not by Mathias.
Who we are
Under the Hood with Mathias is a family-run children's podcast project. For any privacy question, email hello@underthehoodwithmathias.com.
What we collect
- Your email address, only if you choose to sign up to be notified about the launch. This is handled by our email provider, Kit (ConvertKit), and used solely to email you about the podcast. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- Basic, anonymous analytics, only if you accept cookies. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to count visits and see which pages are popular. We do not use it to identify you personally, and we do not collect names, addresses, or payment details anywhere on this site.

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. We keep this to a minimum:

You're in control. When you first visit, a banner lets you Accept or Decline analytics cookies. If you decline, Google Analytics is never loaded. You can also clear cookies or change your choice at any time in your browser settings.
Our legal basis
Under UK GDPR, we rely on your consent, for analytics cookies (via the banner) and for sending you launch emails (by signing up). You can withdraw consent at any time.
Children's privacy
Although the host is a child, this website is aimed at parents and grown-ups. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The email sign-up is intended for adults. If you believe a child has given us their details, email us and we'll delete them.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. Your email is stored with Kit and analytics data with Google, and each processes it under their own privacy policies. We share data only where needed to run these services, or if legally required.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information, or to stop emailing you, at any time. Just email hello@underthehoodwithmathias.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Changes to this policy
We may update this page as the show grows. The "last updated" date above will always show the latest version.
